SHOULD HOTELS BE FORCED TO MAKE EMPTY ROOMS AVAILABLE TO THE HOMELESS?A 2024 Los Angeles ballot measure calls for exactly that. And Tom doesn't like it!
I recently read an article on social media about the homeless and someone in the comments who claimed to work at a hotel, said that the homeless are the worst hotel guests as they typically trash the rooms. Those who work in the hotel industry who are in favor of this should be careful what they wish for.
A relative works for a large commercial realtor. With the pandemic and working from home becoming more and more ubiquitous, he days there is tons of commercial real estate sitting there empty. Why can't that be converted?
