SHOULD PEOPLE WITH TWO HOMES STAY IN THE CITY? All over the country, people who can afford it are ditching urban quarantines for second homes as well as Airbnbs or VRBOs in less-infected small town America. The small towns are clapping back, saying that their small-town hospitals and emergency services can't handle the rush of urban escapees.

Should Tom and others like him retreat to their cities until COVID-19 subsides?

Here's the story from The Washington Post that got Tom going.

...unless you're seeing a huge influx of people. Given that you're out in the countryside, there's limited places to stay -- so I don't think you'll have that problem.

They may get to a point where they'll start going house-to-house and making people out of state return home, in some places. States around New York have essentially done this.

Stay safe Tom. I do have a movie reccomendation for you, since we're all locked down:

"Pontypool" (2008) -- Its a canadian film about a radio "shock jock" Grant Mazzy starting his first shift at a small radio station in the countryside. On the way, he's startled by a woman that presses her hands on the passenger side window, repeating a word he can't make out. The story starts normally, banter between the producer and screener. Mazzy getting disciplined about following station format, etc..

It then descends into what I'd call an inverted "War of the Worlds" kind of radio play, where the film centers on the soundbooth and the radio station, as reports come in of bizarre happenings and Grant Mazzy trying to string together all the events to discover what is happening out in the world.

I found it pretty original, and I'd love to hear your input on how they set up the radio station itself and the soundbooth -- did they do things right? Or did it fall short?

Here's the imdb for it if you or the other P1's want to check it out -- https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1226681/

It has served its purpose. Put all of your eggs in the perfect basket of the ranch. The sticks are all but dead. The house in The Hills was a sticks era purchase. Unload it, as you really enjoy your privacy, and make even more money.
