THE LIES WE'RE BEING TOLD EVERY DAY ABOUT COVID-19 You've got it all figured out. A couple of weeks or maybe a month of social distancing, then, "play ball!" Back to things as usual. The usual suspects are lying to you again. Remember how Tom accurately called the effects of this crisis? He says, "you ain't seen nothin' yet!"

America should be ready for 18 months of shutdowns in ‘long, hard road’ ahead, warns the Fed’s Neel Kashkari

Agree or disagree? Let Tom hear it: tom@blowmeuptom.com.

Great work, Tom. This shit will get much worse before it gets better. I know a couple right now who is relentlessly trying to get pregnant and have a baby. Why the fuck would you try and procreate now given where the country is at and will be in the next few years?

I agree that this isn't going to be like a lightswitch being flicked off then on.

Too much damage has already been done, not only in lives lost but the absolute economic carnage. The trillions the Fed is injecting into the system won't even begin to close the gap from the losses. GDP estimates of -24% or more are being bandied about.

I agree that hope is what is fueling these estimates of restarting and getting back to "normal". Just don't see how it can be normal with millions out of work. A lot of those jobs aren't coming back.

On a lighter note - some crazy people did a "Cannonball Run" in 27 hours from New York to Los Angeles -- https://www.roadandtrack.com/car-culture/a30085091/these-guys-just-drove...

Also Tom, hope you get a chance to check out the "Pontypool" movie. Like to hear what you think about it.

I was very early in preparing for this, and while everyone was laughing at me YOU reassured me that I was doing the right thing. Thanks, Prof!

I don't care how bad Trump fudges our numbers, he'll never lowball them as badly as the Chinese government low-balled their numbers. He may not be a savior, but China is bears the brunt of the blame for the mess we're in right now.

Regardless, I've been prepared for this for a long time but my job is so damn "essential" that I can't enjoy any of my meticulous preparations.

Intelligently China Deployed its military and Forced a 100% Compliant quarantine.
Intelligently South Korea Solved Its pandemic with MASS TESTING!
Mentally ill TRUMP ,who is a DO NOTHING Politician, Wasted almost 2 months lying and Flip-flipping . Now "America is first".....in corona cases and Deaths. American we have the loosest quarantine in the world and NO mass testing. Republicans and Trump Cut the CDC by 80% in 2018 #TrumpPandemic

No kidding about your analysis. I'm loading up with canned goods and the like. I wouldn't be surprised if stores eventually implement food rationing. You say the government doesn't want to panic the public. What about the electronic journalists? When are their news directors going to start getting real with the audience? My gut feeling is the media is underestimating the viewer's intelligence. I think the audience senses heavy stuff is coming down.

MSNBC actually told its viewers the truth that Tom spoke about on this episode! On the Monday April 13 episode of The Last Word with Lawrence O’Donell(which is also available to listen for free as a podcast) Lawrence who always tells it like it is, dedicated his entire show to discuss everything Tom spoke about on this podcast.

COVID-19 will last at least for another 12 months. Why? People are living recklessly and have no regard for others around them. I don't leave the house without my gloves and mask on but 3/4 of the people I see outside are not wearing any protective gear. I go to the grocery stores and none of the cashiers have any gear on. People are not taking this thing seriously enough. I would not be surprised if millions of Americans get this thing. On top of that, the coming depression, supply chain failures and civil unrest will kill off many more.

What "they" aren't saying is that this is >1.3x contagious than measles. The R0 that they're saying is 1-3 but it's really much higher given factors like incubation time, asymptomatic etc. R0 or (R naught) is a transmission variable and its scored on how communicable the virus is. "They" also aren't saying how bad this is...it's airborne and lasts for days and days thanks to its lipid shell. They've found evidence that the spread can come from as much as 27 feet or more if blown by the wind!!! And it persists in the air for 3 hours!!! That's right everybody...the "droplets" story they've been feeding everyone is total bullshit...

I still work everyday in my Metal & Wood shop at my property.
Business is booming...I make Industrial style minimalist desks all cash --
thankfully it all sells itself..People come w/ cash hundreds ea. in cold cash ( that I wash and disinfect)...They also stay 30 feet away from me for 5 or 10 minutes, deal is done & they're gone

I have my Mexican go-fer when I need him to go to Home Depot for wood & or get my Groceries at the HEB here in Austin area.
He drops whatever off and he's gone..been here ALONE w/ my Jack Russell & a cool cat.. for 7 or 8 weeks now.
Making cash hand over fist every day...but ...can't go anywhere of course..thanks to president stupid-shit for brains.
