WHY ARE SEAN HANNITY AND RUSH LIMBAUGH STILL CALLING CORONAVIRUS A "HOAX"? Tom talks to former fellow radio talk show host Charlie Sykes, founder and editor-at-large for TheBulwark.com, about why right-wing TV and radio personalities continue to rant that we shouldn't believe that the worldwide pandemic in front of us is actually a thing.

Here's the New York Times article Tom read that inspired this episode.

Read Charlie's book, How The Right Lost Its Mind.

Politics don't rule the world, money flows and corporations do.

Sure, a politician can start a war and do other things, but the companies that surround this network are the ones that spend the lobbying dollars to get things to happen. Their Return On Investment (ROI) is pretty high, too. The "Team Red" and "Team Blue" are just there so people think they have a choice. They don't, really -- because the money flowing around both sides are what ultimately call the shots.

I know some will say "Well, Bloomberg failed, so that can't be right" -- wrong, he may have failed in getting the nomination but his direct investment has changed laws and other legislation -- that pattern he's going to continue pursuing. He only got involved because of his ego, but his money will still be fighting regardless. The half billion he spent he can easily make back, so it means nothing to him.

Still not convinced? Look at Soros and his funds. Even if Soros himself dies, his fund manages his estate so that money won't be disappearing -- his family will continue what he's been doing across the globe for years.

Money makes things happen, period.

Its highly likely that between this impulse and the next one that will come after the summer, that we'll see as high as 60% infected.

Personally, I'm in good health and I'm not concerned about contracting it -- because the stats for my age group have been rather low, and I've survived tougher things before. For those over 60> its a different ballgame.

I don't use radio personalities as my guide to personal health, so I don't care what they are saying. I use my own research and try to back it up with actual cited stats from medical experts and papers.

Like I've said before, unless you are willing to shell out about $1,500 for a complete "bunny suit" that allows for positive-pressure environment via a tank or central supply, its very likely you're going to contract this eventually. I don't know anyone personally who is prepared to that degree. You'd also need a sanitation zone for your entrance/exit in addition to a lot of cleaning supplies.

No one is going to do that unless they're mega-preppers.

Charlie said this line, and I had to laugh.

Even the most neutral observer can see that most of the time, aside from a few outlets - the majority are critical of Trump in general.

I'm not here to justify or defend it either way, but seriously Tom? I can't believe you let that one fly by you and you didn't push back.

I'm a cautious person by nature, so before all this hit I already had a store of dried food products that can last me more than a month, emergency water and other supplies.

I didn't have to go shopping for any extras.

I'm also trained proper use of firearms, if the shit really hits the fan. Hopefully not, but I'm glad I have a means to defend myself.

From a month in the future, without going into a bunch of detail, nothing has improved. Every point you guys predict things will get worse, you're right.
