Seriously Tom, couldn't hear any wind in that recording at all even though you said it was a bit windy outside.

I like hearing about your personal struggles, because I've had times in my life where I was making like 500 bucks a month doing shit work trying to reach a goal. I know how it is, Tom. And you are right that you've got to keep focused on what you are trying to achieve and not let anyone divert you from it.

I'm financially independent and I know its because I focused on myself and didn't give away the whole store to needy girlfriends or time-wasting chicks.

Years of brainwashing (and relatives saying that I was selfish) made me feel guilty for obeying the logical side of my brain. As a little kid I saw and heard men being browbeaten for being "selfish". Watched an uncle finally scrape together enough money to hope buy a nice car,(after raising kids, furnish out house for her), yet face fierce resistance & have his wife say to all who would listen: "Oh he's just having a mid life crisis"!!! What?, That is not right! I thought: is that what I can look forward to? A life like that? Some caustic person deigning to allow him to buy a dogged old 4 cylinder red mustang convertible (he wanted a v8 of course) instead of what HE wanted to buy (with his own money), then talk shit about him? As a kid I pledged : "I AIN'T GOIN' OUT LIKE THAT!!!" (thank you Cypress Hill) All I can say is: (in my best Tom Leykis voice: "FUUUUUUCK THAT!!!") Tom has been a treasured "Father", mentor and role mode to mel! It's really great to hear his wisdom and have it bolster our belief in what is logical and right. Not many voices on "our"(non pussified men)'s side. Tom's wisdom just rings so true. I could be shelling out big bucks to some fraudulent babymama, BUT INSTEAD(thanks to Tom); Just bought a nice used Mustang Cobra coupe( high mileage-it's ok I'm a gearhead-, super cherry condition, awesome price). I heard no whining, didn't have to deal with no ball breakin', just took advantage of a deal that was too good to pass up. Strange, women seem to love this car, but probably wouldn't have let me buy it if they were married to me!!! Glad you are behind the "pay wall"Tom !! (shit we are LIVIN' (large) behind the fuckin' pay wall!!) Episode was such a deep, heartfelt story, I actually got a lil' misty listening to it! SOLID. You are a person of singular clarity. THANKS TOM!

So important to me. I am dating someone who has a family full of irresponsible people who get supported by their mother's boyfriend. Note they are aged 37, 24, and 22. That shit may spread to us at some point. Might be time to get out!

Tom promotes the life that 99% of beaten dogs do NOT have to guts to live. Like when Tony Montana tells the people in the restaurant, "You are a bunch of assholes, because you don't have the guts to be who you want to be"
Tom has the guts to be who he wants to be. Period.
But most men are tied to the apron strings of their single mommies and baby mammas and broke lazy girlfriends and needy wives.
What an eye opening body of work that Mr Leykis has put out into the world. Pure brilliance.
