Hi Tom. I'm checking out some new mutual funds to invest in for my Roth IRA. I picked the American Mutual Fund. I recognized some of the holdings in the fund you were talking about. Exxon. Proctor and Gamble. Apple. Viacom. Several treasury bills. Duke Energy. AT and T. Visa. Lowes Companies. Starbucks. Target Corp. Walmart. Johnson and Johnson. Kimberly-Clark Corp. Chevron Corp. Qualcomm Inc. General Dynamics Corp. Pfizer Inc. Sempra Energy. McDonald's Corp. Verizon. Microsoft Corp. JP Morgan and Chase. Home Depot Inc. Unfortunately it includes Wells Fargo but if it tanks, there's over 150 other holdings that can cover its loss. I rebalanced my portfolio Wednesday and put in $500 out of $7000 for this month and plan to put in $500 a month around the first day of each month. I might add another mutual fund in a few months. The money market mutual funds pay less (1.88 percent) than a high yield savings account I found at many institutions ranging from 2.10 to 2.40 percent. With the threat of a recession looming this year or next, I may think about rebalancing most of the funds to a less risky mutual fund. Any ideas anyone? Thank you Tom. Take me out with a bong.

Hi Tom

My beloved father. Please answer my question. How do I prepare myself for divorce when it comes to money. Should I saved money before I divorce her, or should I just pull it out like band-aid? What did you learn from your past four divorces?

PS: Dad if you ever come near NYC, or Canada. Let me know, I'll join you for dinner.
