HOW TOM BECAME OBSESSED WITH SAVING MONEY It all began in elementary school. Also, Tom makes a major revelation you've never heard before that could very well surprise you. (Or maybe it won't)!

This Apple Bank on 170th Street in The Bronx was once the Dollar Savings Bank where Tom had a passbook savings account as a schoolkid.

Not the exact clock in the episode, but very similar. If you listen, you'll understand.

Hi Tom, will you do an episode about your investments again soon, please? I'm hearing the talking heads predicting a market crash again soon. What do you think about it? Are you still a fan of AT&T and your other dividend stocks? Thanks!

...I'm looking for an equivalent and I will post one as soon as I can find one. Thanks for asking!

I thought you were gonna say you counted in hexadecimal at age 5 buahaha.
My grandma had one of those mechanical flip clocks. I didn't watch it for hours, but I loved watching the top of the hour when both the hour and minutes flipped over.
And holy shit yeah, they used to print every damn stock quote in the newspaper everyday. Jebuz.

absolutely amazing Tom! It was fascinating to hear about your childhood and how you had so many of your traits developed in early ages. Thank you for sharing all your memories.

I knew that this story was related to the $168 that went towards Tom's Parents house, I never quite knew the backstory as to how Tom saved that money.. At 10 years old, Tom was better at handling money than his dad. What would Tom's parents have done to buy a house in the suburbs, if he hadn't saved that money...

Tom did you ever at one point consider being a mathematician or math professor? I definitely would’ve taken your class haha!
