Thanks, for doing a show on Russ

The Russ Martin Show followed by Leykis 101 was a great era in radio and I have nothing but fond memories, including meeting Tom at The Lodge and using some 101 on a blonde RMS listener with a huge rack.

Thanks for remembering him and all the great memories.
Sometimes the truth hurts, but this is an insightful commentary nonetheless.

One item of note: Russ and other affluent folk were targeted regarding the home invasion and not necessarily for the pill pantry.

Great show Tom!

You're absolutely right. No one seems to be talking about the dark side of all this, even though they all knew it was there, and you had a firsthand view in both these men's lives.

By the way, Russ' best friend, on-call doctor, he got popped almost three years ago for running a pill mill.

Especially for those of us who have more days behind than ahead, you gotta appreciate the day you're in and be happy with that . That's what I got from this show. Making money, to me, is a means to that end. If you're broke and having to work 40 -50 hrs/week when you're 50, 60, 70, that isn't a great way to sign off on the waning days of life. So, in earlier days, I chose cheap-o cars, even though I could have driven more expensive ones, small houses etc so that now, I can relax and take it easy - the way I like it.

After 40 years of working hard, living mostly within my means, and investing wisely, I'm not rich, but I have my house on the beach and enough money to live on for the rest of my life.
